In partnership with event app company DoubleDutch -- whose branded event apps facilitates onsite social networking -- American Express Meetings & Events has launched a new "data-driven dashboard" for meeting professionals, it announced
By combining quantitative metrics from American Express Meetings & Events with attendee-experience measures captured by DoubleDutch's app, the new dashboard aims to help meeting planners better assess their return on event investment, either for a single meeting or for multiple events.
"We are … focused on providing actionable data and insights for our clients' programs, and by combining our keen understanding of experience design and cost control with the reporting on attendee engagement enabled by DoubleDutch, we can deliver a more immersive and effective method of measuring and enhancing the meeting experience," Issa Jouaneh, vice president and general manager at American Express Meetings & Events, said in a statement. "Furthermore, by adding the DoubleDutch app to our portfolio of solutions, we are able to offer our customers the full set of tools they need for an end-to-end integrated meetings experience. In addition to overall planning and implementation, we can also support the goals of our clients' meetings by incorporating the direct development of mobile solutions into their program."
The American Express/DoubleDutch dashboard displays a variety of data points to help planners measure progress against meeting objectives. Specific metrics include event cost, savings, and length; attendee population, interest metrics, and sentiment measures; and app interaction metrics, among others.
