After acquiring it earlier this year, Marriott International is ready to introduce Canadian hotel brand Delta Hotels and Resorts to the U.S. market, it announced last week.

The brand's first U.S. hotel, the Delta Orlando Lake Buena Vista, will open in Orlando in December, offering 241 guest rooms, a resort-style swimming pool, a kids' activity room, a fitness center, complimentary Wi-Fi, and an onsite restaurant and bar.

"We are thrilled to work with JHM Hotels as we continue to integrate the Delta Hotels and Resorts brand into the Marriott family," said Delta Hotels and Resorts Global Brand Leader Paul Cahill, area vice president of operations, Canada. "We are especially excited to debut the brand in one of the country's top resort and leisure destinations and look forward to welcoming even more guests to the Delta experience. This opening also marks the beginning of new growth opportunities for both our owners and franchisees."

Marriott acquired Delta in April. The brand currently has 37 properties across Canada.
