Dream Hotel Group -- parent company of Dream Hotels, Time Hotels, The Chatwal, and soon-to-launch Unscripted Hotels -- is in the midst of a major growth spurt: The company plans to open nine new hotels by the end of 2020, it announced this week.
Along with 17 properties already in its development pipeline, the new hotels will grow its portfolio from 16 hotels today to 42 -- an increase of over 250 percent -- within the next four years.

"We signed more new hotel deals in the last six months than any other year in the company's history," said Dream Hotel Group chairman Sant Singh Chatwal. "After significant investment and repositioning from ownership to hotel brand and management, Dream Hotel Group now boasts its strongest portfolio ever, and we look forward to continuing to build on our success and expand our brands at a rapid rate."

Located in primary and secondary markets around the world and representing $750 million in new hotel development, the following are Dream Hotel Group's newly signed properties:

• Dream Oceanami Villas & Spa (Long Hai, Vietnam).  Opening fall 2017, this resort in Long Hai, Vietnam (pictured), will feature 347 villas and eight dining and nightlife venues.

• Unscripted Cocobay Da Nang (Da Nang, Vietnam).  Opening fall 2017, the hotel will feature 160 rooms and three dining and nightlife venues, as well as access to the new Cocobay complex, which will be the largest integrated resort complex in Vietnam with a walking street of shops and restaurants, a water park, a performing arts center, luxury apartments, a beach club, and eight hotels, all overlooking the South China Sea.

• The Chatwal Lodge (Bethel, NY). Opening late 2018, the resort will feature 50 accommodations on 23 acres, including private villas, suites, and rooms, as well as culinary experiences crafted and managed by celebrity chef Todd English and others.

• The Chatwal Maaga Maldives (Maldives).  Opening in 2019, this will be the first of two new Dream Hotel Group locations in the Maldivian Islands. It will have 80 ultra-luxury villas, six private beach villas, and two presidential villas, as well as three culinary venues.

• Unscripted Dallas-Fort Worth (Flower Mound, TX). Opening in 2019, this five-story hotel will have 134 guest rooms and four restaurants and bars, including a rooftop lounge.

• Dream Delhi (Delhi, India).
Opening in 2019, this hotel will feature 179 rooms and multiple food and beverage outlets, including a food hall concept by Todd English.

• The Time Dominican Republic (Dominican Republic).  Opening in 2019, The Time Dominican Republic will be Dream Hotel Group's first location in the Caribbean. It will have beachfront guestrooms and suites, multiple dining and nightlife venues, and a spa.

• Unscripted Dominican Republic (Dominican Republic). Dream Hotel Group's second Caribbean hotel will feature spacious guestrooms and suites, and multiple food and beverage outlets.

• Dream Gasveli Maldives (Madlives). Opening in 2020, this resort will feature 500 villas, eight experiential dining and nightlife venues, a 20,000-square-foot wellness spa, and more than a dozen designer brand retail outlets for duty-free shopping.

Meeting space details were not revealed for any of the nine properties.

"These nine new developments are a testament to the strength of our brands, and I am proud to announce another record year of strategic growth momentum for the group," said Dream Hotel Group CEO Jay Stein. "We are finding that our lifestyle brands resonate well in both established and emerging destinations, and every step into a new market demonstrates our unwavering commitment to forging new and enriching partnerships with potential owners and developers across the globe."

In addition to the nine hotels mentioned above, Dream Hotel Group has signed letters of intent to open hotels in the following U.S. markets: Austin; Phoenix; Orlando; Monterey, CA; and Long Island City, NY.  Internationally, it will open properties in the United Kingdom, Central America, and Vietnam. The company plans to sign more than 150 hotels and resorts across all its brands in the next four years.
