The Hyatt Regency John Wayne Airport Newport Beach, which  opened in March of this year, is putting the finishing touches on a propertywide renovation. The 343-room upscale hotel serves the Orange County, Calif., area with its proximity to John Wayne Airport, less than a 10-minute drive away. Newport Beach's business district also is nearby.
West Coast-based design firm Indidesign headed up a complete property makeover, from the guest rooms and suites to the corridors, public spaces and 28,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

The new guest rooms are outfitted with balconies, 65-inch Smart TVs and Italian marble-laden bathrooms, while on-site fitness facilities feature new Precor exercise equipment and a room dedicated to yoga and stretching. An outdoor resort-style pool and jacuzzi are also on-property.

Local, sustainable California cuisine is served at Wave Newport Beach, the on-site signature restaurant, while craft cocktails are mixed at BLVD Bar. A marketplace provides convenient grab-and-go deli and bakery options, while a free shuttle transfers guests to the airport, as well as to nearby Fashion Island and the South Coast Plaza shopping centers.

Among the meeting facilities are 20,000 square feet of contiguous indoor/outdoor space, by way of the Pacific Ballroom, which flows into the Monarch Pavilion and onto the Lido Event Lawn.
