Two new properties are set to open at Universal Orlando in 2019, according to press reports. The hotels, which will be built on the site of the former Wet 'n Wild waterpark, will offer a combined 2,800 guest rooms, including 1,450 two-bedroom suites designed to accommodate families. Both properties will be value-driven, with nightly rates. The new development will have three pools, two food courts, coffee bars, poolside bars, fitness rooms and car-rental facilities.
According to a release on the new properties, guests "will enjoy the sun, surf, and sand with a laid-back coastal feel. Towering exterior murals with vibrant and natural colors will set a free-spirited and beachy tone, inviting guests to hang loose throughout their stay." Guests of the as-yet-unnamed hotels will have early access to Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios and Volcano Bay water park as well as complimentary transportation across the resort.
The new hotels will join Universal's third new hotel, the 600-room Aventura Hotel, which is set to open in 2018 with a rooftop bar and grill with scenic views, and a swimming pool with a water slide, cabanas, and a fire pit.
