Although the "Margaritaville" name is one you'll typically find in tropical locations, work on a new Margaritaville hotel is officially underway up north in Nashville, according to developer Safe Harbor Developers, which announced today that a groundbreaking ceremony for the new property took place last week.
Located in Nashville's thriving "SoBro" district, Margaritaville Nashville Hotel will have 217 guest rooms across 12 stories. Inspired by the lyrics and lifestyle of singer, songwriter, and author Jimmy Buffet, the hotel also will have 10,000 square feet of function space, a fitness center, an onsite Starbucks, a full-service restaurant, and a rooftop relaxation and entertainment area featuring a pool, sun deck, fire pits, bar, and live entertainment.

Opening in summer 2019, the property also will have 52 timeshare units under the Margaritaville Vacation Club by Wyndham flag.

"The groundbreaking of Margaritaville Nashville Hotel marks the arrival of an entirely unique vacation concept for the area, combining a metropolitan latitude with Margaritaville's island attitude," said Darby Campbell, owner and president of Safe Harbor Development. "We couldn't be happier to be on our way to welcoming visitors at what will be a true urban escape in the heart of Music City."
