Chicago's Drury Lane, a 50,000-square-foot conference center and theatre in west suburban Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., is in the midst of an extensive renovation, the first phase of which will be complete by March, it announced yesterday.

Phase one of the property's overhaul includes renovation of the 27,000-square-foot grand ballroom, the main lobby and the cocktail lounge, all of which will be updated with new carpeting, furniture, wall coverings and lighting. Phase two, meanwhile — scheduled for completion in mid-2014 — will include renovation of the Courtyard Restaurant, the French Room, the English Room and the theatre bar.

"For almost 30 years, we've had the honor of hosting thousands of celebrations and special events and our guests have become part of the Drury Lane family," said Drury Lane President Kyle DeSantis. "We are thrilled to continue this tradition with a new generation of guests. We can't wait to introduce our beautiful new space."
