Nobu Hospitality, the company behind Chef Nobu Matsuhisa's trendy chain of Japanese restaurants, has exported its global hotel brand to Europe with the opening of two new hotels there -- Nobu Hotel Shoreditch London and Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay (pictured) -- it announced last week.

Owned in partnership with actor Robert De Niro, movie producer Meir Teper, and Australian businessman James Packer, the company already owns hotels in Las Vegas, Miami, Malibu, and the Philippines, and has other properties under development in Chicago, Bahrain, Los Cabos, and Saudi Arabia.

Located in London's artsy Shoreditch neighborhood, Nobu Hotel Shoreditch London has 148 guest rooms, a 240-seat Nobu Restaurant & Bar with two semi-private dining spaces for groups, a 24-hour fitness center, and over 3,000 square feet of meeting space for groups of up to 200 -- all reflecting Shoreditch's creative and industrial vibe.

Located on the shores of Talamanca Bay in Ibiza, Spain, Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay has 152 guest rooms; two private seafront pools; four restaurants, including a Nobu Restaurant; a full-service spa; a salon; a boutique selling local artwork, ceramics, and other products; and yacht mooring services for guests arriving by boat.

"We are very proud to open the Nobu Hotel Shoreditch and Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay, each with partners who have great vision and passion to create something different and special," said Nobu Hospitality CEO Trevor Horwell. "With London and Ibiza opening, we are continuing our European growth where we plan to announce further special Nobu Hotels in distinct locations."
