Celebrity Cruises continues to expand the event offerings on its new Celebrity Edge. The company previously announced that the ship, which will be debuting late next year, will include the 11,800-square-foot, indoor/outdoor, three-deck spanning Eden; the cantilevered Magic Carpet, 13 stories above sea level; and the high-tech Destination Gateway space. Now, it has unveiled a new flexible event venue aimed squarely at meetings.

Called The Meeting Place, the 1,970-square-foot space can be arranged in a theater-style, classroom, U-shaped, or circular layout, and table tops can be set up with covers or skirts for more formal gatherings, or go without. For cocktail mixers, high-top bar tables or relaxed lounge seating can be brought in and the venue includes soundproof dividers, a mobile bar to set up for food and beverages, as well as private office space for event planners to set up shop. dynamic, and a fully equipped pantry with a bar.

True to the ship's name, its A/V offerings aim to be cutting-edge, with an electronic whiteboard to capture brainstorming sessions, 98-inch and 75-inch LED screens, wireless microphones, and a mini sound board.
