The Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls, in Logan, OH, announced earlier this month that it has broken ground on an innovative meeting and events facility.

Surrounded by the caves, forests, and waterfalls of southeastern Ohio's Hocking Hills region, the 5,000-sf Gathering Place will feature an open layout and space for groups of up to 50 people. It will feature views of Hocking Hills and natural light filtering into its 857-sf meeting room.

Located in an 1840s log cabin, the facility will also include a 450-sf windowed breakout area and a 1,000-sf rooftop garden with a covered, wraparound porch providing additional space for events.

A number of green features will be a part of the Gathering Place. One-third of the building will sit underground for more energy-efficient heating and cooling, there will be high-energy windows and doors, tankless hot water heaters will offer hot water on demand in meeting spaces, the kitchen, and spa, and much more.

The Gathering Place will offer full-service dining for every meal and break, and the inn's event planners will create and facilitate team-building activities such as hikes, zipline canopy tours, spa treatments, cooking and wellness classes, wine and beer tastings, rappelling/rock climbing, kayaking/canoeing, and skeet-shooting.
