MasterCard Worldwide in recent weeks has partnered with meetings technology suppliers to boost its offerings and create new integration opportunities for its MasterCard Purchase Control tool.

MasterCard late last month announced partnerships with Etouches and Worktopia that group executive for global commercial products Steve Abrams said are designed to help corporate customers better capture meeting spending and savings opportunities.

"Since meeting needs differ dramatically by organization and event, we chose to partner with best-in-breed providers to offer our corporate customers a suite of flexible solutions that meet their individual needs, provide clear visibility into spend and improve efficiencies throughout the entire meeting planning and execution process," Abrams said.

Worktopia will use MasterCard's Purchase Control application on Worktopia's small meeting booking tool. The integration allows MasterCard corporate customers to control an employee's use of card accounts when booking and paying for meeting room reservations and services.

"Together with MasterCard," said Worktopia CEO John Arenas, "we can help companies establish enforceable policies by providing procurement with central visibility and control while allowing decentralized purchasing."

Ridgefield, Conn.-based Etouches provides a tool that facilitates online registration and communication. Companies that subscribe through MasterCard will get access to special offers.
