Las Vegas Convention Center Completes $20 Million Upgrade

The Las Vegas Convention Center has completed $20 million in capital improvements designed to enhance the customer experience at the 54-year-old venue, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) announced last week.For a recap of last week's top stories, check out MeetingNews Minute:
Implemented over the course of the last two years, improvements to the 3.2 million-square-foot facility include a new exterior paint job — previously mauve, now gray — as well as an expanded parking lot, new indoor carpeting, new energy-efficient lighting in the Central and North Halls, a new interior paint job, an expanded Starbucks store and the addition of a 3,400-square-foot American Express OPEN Business Lounge serving American Express OPEN card members with refreshments, free Wi-Fi, and computer and printer access.
“The Las Vegas Convention Center is home to many of the top trade shows in the country,” LVCVA Senior Vice President of Operations Terry Jicinsky said in a statement. “It is important to keep the facility fresh and offer its more than a million yearly guests the convenience that will make conducting business in Las Vegas a success.”
