The Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., has enhanced its group offerings with a new nighttime spectacular, a new incentive suite and a new catering kitchen, Disney announced this month.

A 25-minute "visual symphony" that includes nearly 1,200 fountains choreographed to light, music and video, the new nighttime spectacular — called "World of Color" — is available at the Disney California Adventure theme park, where there are private viewing locations available for groups of up to 6,000. Buy-outs also are available for groups that want to customize the show with logos or other visuals.

"World of Color marks a milestone in the ongoing expansion and transformation of Disney California Adventure," said Robert Donahue, director, resort and park event sales and convention services for the Disneyland Resort. "The combination of water, light, fire and music makes World of Color a breathtaking extravaganza and showcases the unforgettable experiences Disney brings to group functions and other events."

Disney's second new group offering, the Big Thunder Suite, is the latest in a collection of incentive suites that are available for meeting VIPs. Located on the 11th floor of the Disneyland Hotel, it was inspired by the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad attraction at Disneyland Park.

"The Big Thunder Suite recalls the age of gold rush miners, and its rustic finish pays homage to the world-famous attraction," said John Mauro, development manager for Walt Disney Imagineering.

Disney's third and final new group offering, its new catering and events banquet kitchen, totals 10,000 square feet and can service events as large as 7,000.

Said Donahue, "The new banquet kitchen exemplifies our commitment to quality service for private catered events, and enhances our food and beverage options for meetings and events."
