The Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles has completed a more than $1 million upgrade to the meeting and social spaces on its Plaza and Executive Conference Center levels, it announced last week.

On the Plaza level, which offers over 12,000 square feet of meeting space, renovations encompassed the hotel's two junior ballrooms, including the 4,692-square-foot Olympic Ballroom and the 4,322-square-foot Constellation Ballroom; the 4,500-square-foot Westside Room, where actors Sonny & Cher launched their variety act together; the 8,866-square-foot Plaza Pavilion; and a new 24-hour business center.

While the ballrooms were updated with new carpeting, lighting and, in the pre-function area, new furniture, the theater-style Westside Room was reconfigured from three tiers of seating to two.

Meanwhile, renovations of the hotel's Executive Conference Center, formerly the South Mezzanine level, included a redesign of its eight meeting rooms. Ranging in size from 390 square feet to 1,100 square feet, each was updated with new carpeting, window treatments and lighting fixtures.
