United Launches New Service Between Chicago, Midwestern Cities
December 7, 2009
Beginning in early 2010, United Airlines will launch new service between its Chicago hub and several smaller Midwestern cities, including Eau Claire, Wis.; Hancock/Houghton, Mich.; Muskegon, Mich.; and Paducah, Ky., it announced last month.
According to United, flights will be operated by United Express carrier SkyWest Airlines, using 50-seat CRJ200 regional jets.
According to Kevin Knight, United's senior vice president of planning, the new flights—beginning Feb. 11, 2010—will give travelers in smaller Midwestern cities access to more choice to dozens of cities throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.
"United is pleased to offer travelers throughout the Midwest new choices for convenient service to Chicago and the world," he said in a statement.
