Embassy Suites Completes $7.8 Million Renovation Near Detroit

The Embassy Suites Detroit-Troy/Auburn Hills in Troy, Mich., has completed a $7.8 million renovation to its guest suites and public spaces, its owner, Atlanta-based Hospitality Ventures, announced last week. According to the hotel, the "top-to-bottom" upgrade encompassed each of the property's 251 suites, as well as its over 5,000 square feet of meeting space.

"With our freshly upgraded property, signature Hilton HHonors guest reward program and premium Embassy Suites amenities like a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast and complimentary evening Manager's Reception, we believe we now offer Detroit's best overall hotel value for both business and leisure travelers," General Manager James Miskulin said in a statement. "Other upscale, value-added amenities such as room service and complimentary parking and USA Today newspaper make the Embassy Suites Detroit-Troy/Auburn Hills a clear choice for all travelers who expect more from their hotel."

Located 25 minutes from downtown Detroit in the city's northern suburbs, the renovated Embassy Suites Detroit-Troy/Auburn Hills now features guest suites with new bedding, redesigned bathrooms, new furnishings, new 37-inch and 32-inch flat-screen HDTVs, and wireless high-speed Internet access. It also features a newly expanded fitness center, a new business center with remote printing capabilities, a new 24/7 convenience store, new check-in kiosks from which guests can print airline boarding passes, and upgraded meeting spaces that have been adorned with new carpeting and new wall coverings.
