Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has opened a new hotel in Dubai, Fairmont The Palm, it announced last week.
Located in Palm Jumeirah — the world's largest manmade island, shaped in the form of a palm tree — the hotel is situated next to Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest freestanding building, and The Dubai Mall, the world's largest retail development. It has 381 guest rooms and nearly 10,000 square feet of meeting space — including a ballroom for groups of up to 400 — not to mention four swimming pools, a private beach club, a children's activity center, a variety of dining options and an onsite spa.
