Further emphasizing its focus on the Boston market, JetBlue Airways has introduced new daily nonstop service to Phoenix, and next spring will launch four daily nonstop flights to Newark, N.J., it announced last week.

The new flights, which began servicing Phoenix last week and will take off for Newark next May, are part of a major expansion by the airline at Boston's Logan International Airport, from which it currently offers 75 daily flights to 38 destinations.

"We're proud to have become Boston's carrier of choice by following one simple formula: Offer reasonable fares and don't skimp on the experience, and people will keep coming back for more," JetBlue Vice President of Network Planning Scott Laurence said in a statement.

This summer, JetBlue added more flights from Boston to Baltimore, Charlotte, Chicago, Denver, Raleigh/Durham and San Diego, as well as Aruba, Cancun, Fort Lauderdale, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. This fall it will expand even further with new daily service from Boston to Washington, D.C. and Sarasota, Fla.
