Gaylord Opryland Resort on Road to Recovery
August 25, 2010
Back in May, the historic flooding in Nashville submerged the landmark Gaylord Opryland Resort and its iconic indoor atriums under 10 feet of water. At the time all that could be done was to donate tens of thousands of pounds of perishable frozen and refrigerated food purchased for a scheduled conference of 1,500 people to the Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief to assist with their emergency feeding response in the local Nashville community.
But since then an army of workers have been working tirelessly restoring the property. The progress can be seen it two photos of hallways taken on May 7 and August 17. The property is scheduled for a grand reopening event in three months on November 18-20.
