The Society of Incentive Travel Executives, otherwise known as "Site," will hold its 2012 Site International Conference in Beijing, China, it announced last week. Taking place Sept. 14-17, 2012, the meeting will occur immediately following CIBTM, Reed Travel Exhibitions' Asian meetings and events expo.
"By holding our International Conference in conjunction with CIBTM, we strengthen relationships with our industry partners and ensure that conference delegates receive maximum return on their investment," said Site Managing Director Allison Summers.
Added Site President Alejandro Verzoub, "Site celebrates our history with Beijing. In 2005, we held our Executive Summit there and we have established the first government-sanctioned Site Chapter in the industry. Site's presence in China is growing rapidly. It has become an increasingly important market in our industry as many more motivational travel programs are being offered to this fascinating destination."
According to Site, the Site International Conference will feature "interactive education for motivational events and incentive travel professionals to discuss emerging industry trends, share and address challenges and build international business connections."
"Beijing is a modern-day example of the evolution of a destination," said Site China Director Liu Ping. "The city has a rich culture and history fused with progressive technology and architecture. Site China is delighted to welcome Site delegates from around the world to Beijing for the Site International Conference, which is certain to be a relevant and meaningful educational event."
