ASAE Launches 'Virtual Annual Meeting'
June 18, 2010
For the first time this year, its flagship event, the Annual Meeting & Exposition—taking place Aug. 21-24 in Los Angeles—will have a virtual component, ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership announced this week.
The "Virtual Annual Meeting," as it's being called, will include education sessions and footage streamed live from the actual Annual Meeting & Exposition, enabling attendees to remotely access live onsite presentations and events throughout the duration of the meeting.
In addition to live content and streaming video, the virtual meeting will feature several events designed exclusively for virtual attendees, including online networking opportunities and up to 70 on-demand learning lab sessions, which will be recorded onsite in Los Angeles and made available online via audio synch-to-slide technology.
"Our Annual Meeting is the biggest and the most important event for ASAE & The Center—it's also the best attended event each year—but we understand that for various reasons, some folks can't join us in person," said ASAE & The Center President and CEO John H. Graham IV, CAE. "As much as we'd like to see many association and nonprofit professionals in person in Los Angeles, this new virtual component will be a good way to connect us and access the same knowledge from the education sessions streaming online from the convenience of an office or a personal computer."
Virtual Annual Meeting registration is $595 for ASAE members and $795 for nonmembers. For more information, visit
