NYC meetings and event-guru Arthur Backal, CEO of Backal Management Group and event manager of Apella, Event Space at Alexandria Center, says adding frozen drinks and boozy popsicles to a bar menu is more popular than ever. Another trend he reports on is infused ice. “Infused ice is so versatile, as citrus fruits, berries, and even herbs can be used to dress up and flavor your favorite drinks or cocktails,” says Backal.

Flavors rotate throughout the summer, and July’s Prosecco and Ice Pop cocktails options include: Raspberry Apricot with Grand Marnier, Strawberry Margarita with Lime Juice and Tequila, Appletini with Gin, Vermouth, Lemon juice; Spiced Peach with Anejo Rum; and Blueberry Plum with Irish Whiskey.
Throughout the 2014 Loopy Doopy season, visitors enjoying Prosecco and Ice Pop cocktails will receive various prizes that will be revealed on their ice pop sticks. Additionally, a select number of guests will win a “suite” grand prize consisting of a complimentary weekend stay for two in the hotel’s 1,500-square-foot Conrad Suite.
