Wild Dunes Resort on Isle of Palms, SC, hosted a recent client who wanted to turn the resort into a Wild West town. No easy feat for a Southern beach destination a half hour away from Charleston.

Props were brought in that included wagons, horses, cows, a bucking bronco, and bales of hay but it was the food that brought the transformation full circle.

Chili was served in tin cans; a specialty drink called “Wyatt Slurp” that contained Jack Daniels, peach schnapps and cranberry juice was a hit; and chuck wagon stew and homemade beef jerky went over well. The biggest crowd pleasers were over 550 steaks that were branded with the company logo and homemade coconut “chewing tobacco” distributed in brown paper pouches.
